For those who know me, have supported me and still do, thank you.
For those who don't know me, I am Hristo, aka RatherRandom, a regular member of the community here since 2006. Yep, it's been about 10 years. I've created numerous games and animations during that time. Sadly he last couple of years I haven't been much active here, which is a shame. But I'm back.
Here is a little peak from one of the levels in World 3:
The game is a sequel of "Mighty Red Orb Of Eternal Power" which came out back in 2009 on Newgrounds.
It's been forever and some of you may be asking yourselves what the hell happened to me. So let me get to it.I went through some personal bullshit that significantly diminished my desire to create. The good news is that I'm feeling strong with the force again. I have several things lined up and they will be seeing daylight soon. So stay tuned please.
Meanwhile, I started a great journey, playing one of my favorite games of all time: X-COM: ENEMY WITHIN
This is not your regular playthrough. I play the game on IMPOSSIBLE IRONMAN with ALL SECOND WAVE OPTIONS SELECTED. I have not seen anyone dare to play and beat this game this way. I will be uploading episodes every day! I already have uploaded the first 8 episodes on youtube, including a summary of a lost episode, due to technical difficulties with the recording software combined with the 'Ironman' option, which does not allow you to load earlier saved games:
If you are an X-COM fan, I believe you will enjoy this! Here are links to the other parts:
More to come tomorrow and every day after for at least 2 months. That thing is a beast and takes a while to play and beat!
Also, a new game coming up these days!
Thank you for all your support, NG. I love you people.
Yes, yes. It's been a long time. The longest I haven't posted or released anything. It feels good to be back. I am still here and in fact, I will be releasing a new game next week. It's called "Mighty Purple Orb" and it is the logical sequel of "Mighty Red Orb", a game I released in 2009.
But let's talk about Flascism. Today Urban Dictionary rejected my definition of Flascism. Communist bastards.
Here is what I proposed:
Flascism /flæʃɪzəm/ is a form of authoritarian creative process that came to prominence in the late 20th-century all around the world.
Flascism manifests through the usage of the the computer program Flash. It serves to create online content, such as animations, games, websites, images, etc.
Radical Flascists strictly use only the program Macromedia Flash 8 and refuse to jump to future versions of the software. A good example of a hardcore radical Flascist is Tom Fulp, founder of the website newgrounds.com.
Flascists seek to unify their interests through an authoritarian state that promote mass mobilization via various websites, mostly newgrounds.com, where flascists have uploaded their Flash creations since 1995.
Q: What is your occupation?
A: I am a Flascist, follower of Flascism.
Q: I don't understand. Can you clarify please?
A: I create online games and animations using the program Flash.
Q: I understand. No further questions. Respect.
Yeah. See you soon, people.
I've been working on a theory:
It's like every time I try to do something and get something going on I feel like it gets me nowhere. So my theory is to do nothing and maybe that will actually get me somewhere, even though I'm not sure where somewhere is which might be part of the problem, but if this theory works and I get somewhere by doing nothing instead of nowhere by doing something, then doing nothing might be better than doing something plus I have nothing to lose because if it gets me nowhere, well, that's where I'd be if I've actually done something, but instead, I have done nothing to do it. See, it's that simple.
A joke about a cock. Based on true events that happened in 2005.
I've been working on 'Mighty Purple Orb', the long awaited sequel of 'Mighty Red Orb'.
The game is looking good but it needs some beta-testing. If you have some time and desire to play-test and make it a better experience for everyone once the game is released, please PM me. I'll provide you a link. You will be mentioned in the credits of course.
Which one do you think it is?
My personal favorite - "The Punisher". And guess what - in 2 days it celebrates 20 years since its release. 20 years! This game is amazing and it has all those features that were absolutely revolutionary for its time - groping moves, weapons, bombs, etc.
It took me serious 'research' to learn to beat it without continue. With Nick Fury. Here's how:
I'm working on 'Tribot Defender', the epic sequel of 'Tribot Fighter' these days. It will be a tower defense beat 'em up sort of game I suppose.
Just drew these two statues today. You will be able to buy them in the shop and then throw them at the bad guys. Of course, they will explode upon impact, as any other stone statue does.
Peace and see you with another update soon(ish).
Today Nanobeast reached 400,000 plays.
Honestly I've never dreamed of creating a game that would be played by so many people here on Newgrounds.
In conclusion - a hardcore challenge for diehard gamers - can you beat this game in Insane Difficulty?
Lately I've been working on 'Tribot Defender' a sequel of 'Tribot Fighter'. The story will take off where the first one ended. If you have beaten it you know. I don't want to give much away, the game holds a lot of surprises. But... there will be more special attacks and most importantly - weapons! Working on those weapon designs was a lot of fun. There will be a lot more, these are the ones I started with.
The weapons are presented in real size, meaning the same size they will be displayed in the game. I'm curious what do you guys think. What would be other cool weapons??? And I will have to name these too. What would be cool names for these weapons?
Take it easy NG,
