Hi, sup, I have a couple of questions and will very much appreciate if you can give me concrete help:
1) How the hell do you make a voice sound like a robot voice? And no, I don't want to use Speakonia, it's retarded. I work with audacity and I know there's a way to add some effect to do that, but don't know exactly how :((
2) What's the best way to export a heavy motherfucker swf file into video file, preferably quicktime.mov?? (you know a big solid Flash with all the goodies, filters and all that without loosing any quality)

I will post your name right here in all caps, glowing and golden and will remember you with good forever if you help. Thanks.

EGORAPTORRRR helped.

Greetings, Newgroundians, it is I, RatherRandom.
(the term Newgroundians was used by someone else before, but I like it and I'm gonna shamelesly steal it)

I'll talk about a buncha stuff except Cyclops Rape, so bear with me. That one was just a cheap way to get your expensive attention.
Well, I figured I'll talk about Cyclops Rape. After all it is an issue these days, shouldn't pretend it doesn't exist. Wouldn't it be nice to stick it in the lone eye socket of a female cyclops. Or male, if that rocks your boat. Good, this is out of the way.

Ok, lets get down to business.

Front Page posts:
If I'm not wrong I think I can post every week now, so I'ma flood your ass, beginning now...

Rev Share:
Newgrounds just becomes better and better, I think. This new feature is great. Nobody will get rich because of that, but it sets up a great example. One day every self-respected website on the internet will have this feature. I was so impressed by kongregate when I first saw it there. It is the idea that everybody should get their part of the bread, even if it's crumbs. Because some websites make millions out of these crumbs. Think of it that way - imagine if you can get all the pennies from all the tipjars in all the stores in the States. Now, nobody will be rich if these pennies are separated, but you if you get them all at one place you end up with millions. Millions that you don't deserve. This is exactly the case with Eric Bauman from ebaumsworld, who took all the pennies from people like that for a long time and then cashed out, selling his company for $17.5 Million. I still think the rev share system is at beta stage here, sometimes it shows me different amounts for the same stuff, but I'm sure it will be perfect soon. Another thing is that I have only one contributor to the revenue and I just can't believe only one of my flashes/pages made more than a 1000 impressions, but this may be the case. Anyway, great new feature, congrats, Newgrounds.

Mighty Red Orb + hardness of Flash games in general:
The game made more than 100,000 hits! That was certainly unexpected, I was worried that it wouldn't perform that well mainly because it makes "The World's hardest game" look like a walk in the park. I want to thank everybody who played and did not hate my insanely hard game. For those of you who beat it, I hope the movie that you get as a reward at the end was worth it. I just wanted to mention that I am against Flash online games that require no practice nor special skill nor any sort of thinking to complete. Sure you wanna play something mindlessly stupid and hilarious just for fun once in a while but sadly, I would easily say that at least 85% of the games online are like that. So many times I've played great games with great concepts that simply don't challenge me and I wish the authors made them one bit more hard. An example that comes to mind right now would be SeppuKuties, an absolutely great game that was just way too easy to beat. Completed it fast from my first try. It takes some balls to make a hard game, because when you do so you face the inevitable - some people start hating you and your game simply because they suck at it. But I'll tell you what - no game that I've made is easy and this will stay the same for the future. Some of you may say "But why not add difficulty settings?" - sure, my next game will have it: Hard, Insane or Impossible.
Anyway, just wanted to thank again everybody who played Mighty Red Orb, for some of you guys a thousand hits may not be much, but I think it's fucking awesome!

RSS:
Don't have a sligthtest fucking clue what this shit is.

Robot Dreams:
My next project will be a looooong-ass animaton, hope you'll like it, probably will appear first right here on Newgrounds in a month or so.

That's all, peace the fuck out! (as a famous youtube user likes to say, just keeping the concept of stealing other people's lines for an opening and an end )

Rev Share and Cyclops Rape!

Hello NG. Two exciting things at once:

My new game is out:

Mighty Red Orb Of Eternal Power with three little white balls gravitating around it

It was quite a frustrating experience to code it all myself. I couldn't do it without some help from Ethan Ham, big thanks to him. Here's how programming makes me feel like: I feel like the dumbest person on Earth for quite a while until I'm done. Then I look at what I've done and I feel like a fucking genius.
Anyways, thanks to John from Not Doppler for sponsoring it!

Also, today my new Wacom Bamboo arrived!!! My precious...
HUEG thanks to Tom Fulp, this man's generosity knows no limits and he has to be one of the greatest persons alive. To emphasize the great importance of the situation - this tablet comes in right after my old one broke and I'm in the middle of animating my final project for school. Tom Fulp literary saves my life with this Bamboo and I'm very grateful.
My precious...

New game out, new tablet in!

"The holy mountain" - 1973 - Mexico, the guy is called Alexandro Jodorowsky. The movie is made with the financial help of John Lennon. It is the best piece of film ever shot in my humble opinion. It was banned for thirty something years.

It is funny how little known this movie is.
Every scene, every second of it is a piece of art.
I hope it will be very inspirational for some of you guys.

Here's some of the best scenes.
Warning: Disturbing and confusing content follows. Do not watch if you're a pussy.

Scene1: 1000 testicles + civil disorder

.
/* */
Scene2: Rub your clitoris against the mountain

.
/* */
Scene3: Jesus + girls and a monkey + what not

.
/* */
Scene4: The conquering of South America (with frog actors)

.
/* */
And finally, an interview with Alexandro Jodorowsky, watch till the end for some lulz:

Sick, uh?
